Why Art Therapy?

Art has always been a tool for self-expression, but it’s also a powerful medium for healing. As an art therapist-in-training, I’ve seen firsthand how creativity allows people to process emotions, tell their stories, and connect with themselves on a deeper level. Art therapy is not about making “good” art—it’s about using the creative process to explore thoughts, emotions, and experiences in a way that words sometimes can’t. Whether it’s through drawing, painting, collage, or mixed media, art therapy provides a space for self-exploration, growth, and empowerment.

On this site, I’ll be sharing insights from my studies and work in art therapy, reflections on creative practices, and resources for anyone interested in using art as a tool for mental health and self-discovery.

My Podcast

In addition to my work in art therapy, I host a podcast where I dive into conversations about mental health, feminism, identity, and the role of art in social change. Each episode features discussions that aim to challenge the status quo and bring fresh perspectives to the table. My goal is to create a space for nuanced conversations—ones that push us to reflect, question, and grow.

My Art

Art is my personal sanctuary. It’s where I explore, process, and make sense of the world. My work is often inspired by themes of identity, memory, and the stories that shape us. Sometimes, I incorporate natural pigments and unconventional materials into my pieces, blending elements of mindfulness and storytelling into my creative practice.

I’ll be sharing my artwork here, along with the thought process behind each piece. I believe that art is meant to be experienced, felt, and interpreted in a way that’s unique to each viewer—so I’d love to hear how my work speaks to you.
